Samaritans are a suicide prevention charity who work to make sure there's always someone there for anyone who needs someone.
Whatever you're going through, a Samaritan will face it with you. They are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you need to speak to someone, you can contact Samaritans via telephone for free on 116 123.
They have recently launched an Emergency Appeal.
Coronavirus is impacting all of our lives. This crisis is the biggest challenge Samaritans has ever faced. They are currently under a lot of financial pressure do to the pandemic, any donations will make a huge difference.
"Before Coronavirus hit, our 20,000 volunteers were answering a call for help every six seconds. This could be someone you know, family or friends in urgent need but unable to talk to anyone in the middle of the night. It is more important than ever for Samaritans to be there 24/7, 365 days a year for those who need us.
Our helpline is feeling the pressure. We’re likely to experience more people struggling to cope or in crisis. We may have less volunteers to help answer calls for help - currently*, around 30% of our volunteers will be self-isolating." - Samaritans Emergency Appeal
100% of all donations will go directly to the Samaritans Emergency Appeal.
